Funding the Library
As an employee of the library for the past few years, I've come to realize local government funding is, well, complicated. It's not as straightforward as you might think. For example, many of us think it's all those late fees I pay or all those property taxes that fund the library. Below you'll see a chart from our last annual report that shows the revenues we receive. While property taxes hover around 48% the rest is made up of a variety of sources.

Our Wishlist
With property taxes capped (a good thing) and other limitations on how much funding we can request combined with a growing community (another good thing) it is becoming tougher to maintain our current level of offerings and services without seeking out alternative funding.
Check out our Pinterest board to see our current wishlist items that are outside our current scope of funding.
